While there’s always plenty to ruminate on, and obsess over, in any given awards season, the 2025 race to the Oscars has been an especially eventful affair. For many, this is due in large part to the dovetailing controversies surrounding Emilia Pérez, a Best Picture nominee this year.

But for this writer, the far more compelling story to emerge this season has been A Complete Unknown star and Best Actor nominee Timothée Chalamet’s shrewd retooling of the usual campaign process. Weaving in elements of performance art, Chalamet managed to repeatedly turn mere public appearance into public spectacle, a feat that has surely solidified Bob Dylan’s previously confirmed appreciation for the actor’s work.

Can Chalamet, a previous Best Actor nominee for Call Me By Your Name back in 2018, bring it home tonight? See a full, continually updated list of this year’s winners below. Notably, this year’s ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, comes in the wake of devastating wildfires in the region.
