'Blade Runner 2049' Teaser Gives Us Our First Glimpse of Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford
Running blades is a fun activity. Just ask Gosling and Ford, clearly down for some quality hangs in next year's 'Blade Runner 2049.'
Blade Runner 2049 is still nearly a year away from release, but why not go ahead and obsess over this fresh teaser? The first look at Denis Villeneuve's sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott classic gives us a proper early glimpse at Ryan Gosling's character, apparently named K, and even sneaks in a quick Harrison Ford appearance.
This teaser, dubbed an "announcement" clip by the studio, isn't exactly generous with the plot deets. A new synopsis from Alcon Entertainment, however, gets a bit more specific:
The OG Blade Runner is a confirmed sci-fi classic, even landing the crucial President Barack Obama co-sign earlier this year. During his guest-edit of Wired back in November, Obama explained the importance of what is arguably Scott's finest hour. "It asks what it means to be human," Obama said.
Blade Runner 2049, also starring Robin Wright and Jared Leto, hits theaters Oct. 6, 2017. Still haven't peeped the original classic and feeling embarrassed AF to admit it? Good. That's what you deserve. See that shit now!
