Sean Penn Reportedly Celebrated Secret El Chapo Meeting With a Mini-Party on the Flight Home
Sean Penn, as previously reported, is having a very interesting 2016.
Sean Penn, the critically revered actor currently dominating headlines with that whole El Chapothing, reportedly celebrated the controversial scoop with some "booze" and "laughing and hugging," TMZ reports. However, according to the predictably unnamed sources, Penn and Kate Del Castillo were mostly "somber and nervous" on the flight to Guadalajara.
For those who never pay attention to anything ever, we generously offer this recap:
The fruits of Penn and Del Castillo's labor were revealed shortly after El Chapo was once again captured by presumably frustrated authorities, taking the form of a Rolling Stone exclusive interview conducted by Penn himself. "I supply more heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana than anybody else in the world," El Chapo told Penn. "I have a fleet of submarines, airplanes, trucks, and boats."
Though the coup's inspiration for grabbing some drinks is certainly reasonable, Penn and Del Castillo have faced a windstorm of controversy in the wake of El Chapo's capture. "I've got nothin' to hide," Penn said in a brief statement obtained by CBS News.
This eventual biopic, as long as we prevent Stephen Colbert from landing the starring role, is practically begging for a huge batch of Academy Awards.
Your move, Sean.
