'Office' Actress Says John Krasinski 'Sexiest Man' Title Is 'Overdue'
Kate Flannery, who played Meredith on the series, says John Krasinski is “so hot my eyes are melting.”
The Office alum Kate Flannery says People is merely “catching up” when it comes to a certain sexiness she argues is undeniable.
Speaking with TMZ, the actress, who starred as Dunder Mifflin rep Meredith Palmer in the American adaptation of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s BBC comedy, shared her impassioned reaction to John Krasinski bagging the publication's 2024 Sexiest Man Alive distinction. As you may have seen, not everyone was thrilled by this outcome, though it’s acutely hilarious to imagine someone actually being angry about such a thing.
“Let me tell you something. This is long overdue,” Flannery said. “John Krasinski has gotten robbed every year since 2005 in my opinion. It’s so time.”
Flannery continued by detailing the impact she says Krasinski has on her eyes when in his presence. She shared similar praise for Emily Blunt, to whom Krasinski has been married since 2010.
“Have you seen him lately?” she asked. “Have you seen him since Jack Ryan? He is so jacked up. He is so hot my eyes are melting every time I see him in person. He and Emily are so good-looking I have to squint. He is really, really hot. Is nobody paying attention? I’m so glad people are finally paying attention. I’m not drunk. I’m telling you for real, John has always been adorable and really cute but I feel like people haven’t seen his sexiness because he’s so cute. So it’s the perfect marriage of two things. Cute and hot and sexy and funny and smart.”
Flannery added that Krasinski is “much more than Jim,” pointing to his “many gifts” ranging from acting to directing. Most recently, for example, Krasinski helmed IF for Paramount Pictures.
As we move into the final days of the year, sexiness should indeed be front of mind for us all.
