Boosie Badazz Seeks Pardon From Next U.S. President, Mentions Donald Trump and Kamala Harris in Request
The rapper pleaded his case on X to both candidates.
Regardless of who wins this year’s presidential election, Boosie Badazz just wants a presidential pardon.
The rapper hopped on X yesterday (Aug. 31) to explain why exactly he needs one — going so far as to tag both presidential candidates to plead his case.
“MY CASE GOT DISMISSED FOR A RULING THAT WAS MADE N THE 9th CIRCUIT COURT .2 WEEKS LATER THE RULING GETS VACATED,” he wrote. “SMH SOON AS I CELEBRATE THE LAW IS VACATED GTFOH I GOT SOME POWERFUL PEOPLE WHO HATE ME WITH EVERY BONE N THEY BODY. I WAS SENT TO PRISON FOR 10 YEARS FOR 3rd MARIJUANA. FOR BEING A USER LOL NO REHAB ,NO PROBATION SENT STRAIGHT TO PRISON .AT THIS POINT I NEED A PARDEN FROM WHOEVER WINS @VP @realDonaldTrump.”
Back in July, Boosie found out that his judge dismissed his gun possession charge from an arrest in San Diego last May.
Speaking to a courtroom reporter, Boosie said, “This situation made me see who was down with me and who wasn’t. Ninety percent of people thought I was going to prison, but God had a different plan.”
Shortly after, he even posted his thanks on Instagram, believing that the entire ordeal was over.
"CASE DISMISSED‼️🔥💨GOD I JUST WANNA SAY THANK U ‼️🔥YOU NEVER LEAVE ME 🔥U MAKE A AWAY OUT OF NO WAY," he wrote beneath a video of him tearing up. "U MADE ME BEAT SOUTH BATON ROUGE, U MADE ME BEAT CANCER , U MADE ME BEAT DEATHROW, U MADE ME BEAT GUN SHOTS, U MADE ME BEAT FED CASES, U FORGAVE MY SINS #itrustnugod."
Less than two weeks later, he again faced changes of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon in interstate commerce. Additionally, he was given a charge of knowingly possessing a firearm while dealing with abuse of a controlled substance.
If convicted, Boosie faces up to 10 years in prison.
Last month, two men were shot and killed at a car show in Iowa that Boosie was scheduled to perform at.
