DDG Claps Back at Haters Who Say Buying Halo a Ferrari Is 'Corny'

DDG is clapping back at people who criticized him for getting his son an expensive gift that he won’t be able to legally use for another 16 years.

For Halo’s first birthday, DDG surprised the one-year-old with a Ferrari sports car instead of a rattle, sensory toys, or a cool stuffed animal. In a video showcasing Halo’s reaction, the baby seems…excited about the expensive vehicle that’ll most likely be driven by his dad for the foreseeable future.

DDG’s gift-giving moment went viral — with many people cringing at what he did for his son. One person on X called him the “corniest n***a on the internet” and it went viral, amassing more than 5,000 reposts and 78,000 likes (at the time of this writing).

Seeing this post in particular, DDG decided to respond and flex his net worth. “But I’m up & u not 😂 maybe u ni**as should start being ‘corny,’” he wrote.

If DDG’s given Halo a Ferarri, one question to wonder is what he’ll give his next child — because he’s already preparing to have one.

In a video posted to YouTube in November, DDG clarified that he does not only want to have another child within the next few years, he also wants to have it with Halle Bailey.

“Yes, I do want to have another kid. But I will say this, I don't want to have another kid too far away,” DDG explained in the video. “I don't want Halo to be 10 and his little brother is one, you feel me? I feel like that defeats the entire purpose of having another kid.”

“One thing that I do not want to do is to have ‘baby mamas’ or whatever y'all like to call it,” he continued. “If I was to have another kid, it definitely would be with the same person. I don't want to have kids with multiple people. I feel like that's just too much.”

Though DDG wants another child, he also let it be known that he’s cool with just the one he has now. “I'm perfectly fine with Halo. I can live the rest of my life with just Halo as my son,” he said. “I don't need to have another kid, but I wouldn't mind having like a daughter or something,” he said further into the video. “I think that would just be dope, you know, but I want him to be able to kick it with his sibling.”
