A Florida man who faked being a flight attendant will now be seated in prison for the foreseeable future.

The U.S. Attorney's Office revealed this week in a press release that the man, 35-year-old Tiron Alexander, has been convicted of wire fraud and entering into a secure area of an airport by false pretenses.

According to the press release, Alexander flew free 34 times from 2018 to 2024 because he “booked free flights on an airline carrier’s website that were only available to pilots and flight attendants.”

Alexander is accused of booking more than 120 free flights in total by posing as a flight attendant for other airlines with around 30 different badge numbers. He’s now facing up to 30 years in federal prison.

According to evidence submitted in court, Alexander previously worked in ticketing support for Delta Air Lines from 2010 to 2012. He also worked as a flight attendant for Atlantic Southeast Airlines from 2013 to 2014 and for Republic Airways for a short time in 2015.

Alexander’s case was investigated by the Transportation Security Administration and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zachary A. Keller, Andres E. Chinchilla, and Michael C. Shepherd.
