Jenna Ortega reveals she shut down her X account after receiving explicit images of her as a teen that were created by AI.

The actress revealed the disturbing reason why she’s off the platform on The Interview podcast for The New York Times.

“I hate AI.,” she said. “Did I like being 14 and making a Twitter account because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of me as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong.”

Ortega wanted to use it for her career, but she said what she experienced was too problematic — revealing that she received a picture of a man’s genitals when she was just 12 years old.

“I used to have that Twitter account and I was told that, ‘Oh, you got to do it, you got to build your image,'” Ortega said. “I ended up deleting it about two, three years ago because the influx after the show [Wednesday] had come out — these absurd images and photos, and I already was in a confused state that I just deleted it.”

To protect herself in a career path where everyone’s always talking about her or to her, the actor revealed that she avoids her phone as much as possible and prefers to go outside instead.

“I’m always walking,” she revealed. “If you’re ever wondering what I’m doing, if my parents are ever wondering, if I’m not at work, or in some sort of meeting, I am outside doing laps. I am in a random garden, I am laying, taking a nap in a field.”

A few days ago, Ortega appeared in Sabrina Carpenter’s music video for “Taste” as a lady battling the singer over their “Beloved Boyfriend” (played by Halloween Ends actor Rohan Campbell).

In the Dave Meyers-directed visual, the two women duke it out in a bloody murder-revenge fantasy that pays homage to Death Becomes Her (1992) and Psycho (1960).

After the two ladies try to finish each other off several times, they lock lips for a surprise kiss before Ortega attacks the boyfriend with a chainsaw.

At the funeral, Ortega and Carpenter reflect on the “trauma” he put them both through and how “insecure” he was when he was alive.
