Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa Joke About Their Beef in "The Boy Is Mine" Spoof
Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa have released "The Job Is Mine," a parody of a Brandy and Monica classic, to joke about their beef.
Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa have proved they don’t have any bad blood with each other by releasing a hilarious new collab, “The Job Is Mine.”
The duo released the parody of Brandy and Monica’s hit song “The Boy Is Mine” on social media, featuring lyrics about, yep, you guessed it, the co-host role on The Breakfast Club that many people believed that Hilarious was in danger of losing.
The badly-sung parody (sorry, Hilarious and LoRosa) finds Hilarious’ maternity leave replacement asking her whether she wants her job or not. It’s a timely joke — because just weeks before this, Hilarious went on an Instagram Live rant about LoRosa staying on The Breakfast Club.
“You try coming back to work and the motherfucker is right there at your desk and ain’t nobody telling you shit, mind you,” said Hilarious. “Before you know [it], everybody thinking you’re the villain.”
Things between the two heated up when, the day after Hilarious’ rant, the two appeared together on The Breakfast Club where they aired out their grievances with one another, seemingly concluding that they’d both have spots on the show going forward.
“Nobody has even tried to clean up the narrative that I’m a villain,” Jess said during their conversation. “I’m worried about the perception and my reputation up here on this show.”
It seems like, for now, Hilarious’ job is completely hers thanks to LoRosa getting her own show from iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network. LoRosa is set to host a daily pop culture podcast called The Latest that’s set to premiere on March 31.
Ex-Breakfast Club host Angela Yee recently gave her perspective on the situation in an interview with FOX 5. “When I initially left, they did say they were going to hire two people, so that was always the plan,” she said. “I’ma be honest, I don’t know what’s being communicated to anybody.”
