Marlon Wayans has shared a Pride Month post to all of his “LGBTQ peeps.

“Happy Pride to all my LGBTQ peeps,” he wrote. “From my block to my schools to my cast and crews to my friends to my family… wherever you are or have been in my life I wish you all love and support. You can be a straight man and still love gay people.”

Along with the post, Wayans shared a picture of him in a bathtub filled with giant colored balls while holding a rainbow-colored umbrella.

Wayans has been open about his relationship with his son Kai, who is trans. Back in 2023, he detailed what his son’s transition was like while speaking to The Breakfast Club about a stand-up special. “My daughter Amai is now Kai, and so, I talk about the transition. Not her, his… their transition, but my transition as a parent, going from ignorance and dental to complete unconditional love and acceptance,” he explained.

Wayans confessed that when he found out, the news was “painful” for him and that he still sometimes messes up Kai’s pronouns. “They let me… they know. They know I love her and they see me trying and that I’m happy,” he said. “It just fucks me up when I say ‘they,’ I’m like, there’s two of you? But I gotta respect their wishes.”

In 2024, Wayans, who’s been commended by Dwyane Wade for supporting his trans son, revealed that he tried to hypnotize Kai to stop him from transitioning. “I look back on those actions and I’m ashamed,” he said. “I was embarrassed the moment I was forced to look in the mirror. I was embarrassed.”

The comedian later revealed that he got to a “beautiful place called acceptance” and also gave advice to parents who are in a similar situation. “It’s not on us to judge anybody, right??? I tell my child, listen, I’ma have my jokes… They know my heart and they trust that I’m gonna tell a great story,” he added.
