Woah VIcky Says She Faked Her Own KIdnapping Because She Was 'Bored'
"I have kidnapped vicky. She is with me in nigeria. I am demanding $1million for her release," a post on Twitter read.
Woah Vicky is under fire after explaining why she faked her own kidnapping in Nigeria.
The influencer’s X account had a message posted to it, claiming to be from someone else. It said that she was kidnapped in Nigeria and was being held for a $1 million ransom. “I have kidnapped vicky. She is with me in nigeria. I am demanding $1million for her release," the post read.
It all began with a series of posts from her account about being in love with Nigeria while on a trip there. Pretty quickly though, her messages turned to her not liking it anymore and wanting to come home.
The messages were alarming — especially to one of her friends who shared the posts on Instagram, claiming that a police report had been filed.
Following this post and others, including one with an image of a man beside her, Vicky deleted the posts and explained what happened in a livestream.
“Sorry about that, everything’s good ya’ll,” she said. “I was bored and having fun, just getting a laugh. Just getting a laugh, fam. That’s it. It’s all love, I’m just having fun with my brother, everything’s good.”
Vicky’s friend who posted about her on Instagram deleted his posts and shared a shocked emoji on his Instagram Stories.
Last month, Woah Vicky shared the qualities that she’s looking for in a partner — highlighting that she wants a “successful Black athlete.”
"I’m a white Christian single woman who’s looking for a successful black athlete football or basketball is fine with me lets have children and be loyal and get married any takers ?" she tweeted at the time.
