Serena Williams Wore Crystal-Covered Nikes to Her Wedding Reception

A fairytale year continues for Serena Williams, who married Reddit-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans this past Thursday. The bride wore an Alexander McQueen gown and high heels for the ceremony, but showed up to the reception in something just as stylish, but a little more comfortable.

Captured by photographer Allan Zepeda, Williams changed into a Versace party dress and a head-turning pair of crystal-covered Nike Cortez sneakers. Whether the shoes were gifted or requested is unknown.

This year, Nike formed an official partnership with Swarovski, resulting in similar custom footwear for golfer Michelle Wie. Thus far, there's no confirmation that Williams' pair was also made by Swarovski.
