Canadian Design Duo Sully Wong Drop Two New Sneakers Styles

The shoe game has never been more competitive or crowded; with every passing day there seems to be a shoe drop from one of the major players in the game. So how do the smaller guys stand out? By sticking to their DNA and not trying to one up each other with gimmicky finishes. Canadian designers Sully Wong have been doing just that for years – clean, minimalism slick sneakers. In fact, for the longest time, they kept their game going strong by focusing on classic leather high tops. The original SWJ design was inspired by Jack Johnson, the first African American Heavyweight Champion of the world. Following on the success of SWJ, George Sully and Henry Wong introduce their latest sneaker endeavor, the SW MICRO LOW and SWJ 6 MICRO MID. That’s right, you know have low top options when it comes to Sully Wong.

The boys have not only embraced two new body types but they are also throwing out lots of colour combinations for their customers. The SW MICRO LOW will be available in 5 colours, Crimson Red, White, Black, and Deep Orange and Sharks Fin. While, the SWJ 6 MICRO MID will be available in 5 colours as well, black, sharks fin grey, deep orange and white/grey, black/grey combinations. Sully Wong has also gone cruelty free with microfiber leather. While some may consider this sacrilege in the minimalist luxe sneaker game, the new microfibers are tougher, lighter and longer lasting than leathers. Newer technologies have improved the quality of the microfiber leather that no one is the wiser – they still look and feel like leather. Keeping your white kicks white will be easier now.

The SW MICRO LOW and SWJ 6 MICRO MID will retail for $140 and $160 respectively. Look for the drop on April 4th.
