These Sneakers Release on the Next Full Moon
International retailer Ssense and sneaker brand Reebok bring back and update sneaker tech from 1996 for a moon-inspired 3M sneaker. Find out more about their Run.r 96 collaboration including the release date here.
Designed in collaboration with international retailer Ssense, this upcoming Reebok features updated technology from the mid-'90s, and aesthetic hits inspired by the moon.
The Ssense x Reebok Run.r 96 pays homage to a full moon with touches of light and dark gray that dominate a mesh and 3M upper. Not as noticeable during the day and shining brightly at night, the sneaker's texture and brightness reference the duality of the moon during a 24-hour span. The sole features split cushioning from a Pump Evo prototype designed in 1996 that never hit the shelves.
Other unique features on this model include a pull cord lacing system with lace locks, Reebok and Ssense branding throughout the sneaker, and a release date that coincides with the next full moon, June 28.
The Ssense x Reebok Run.r 96 drops with a retail price tag of $260 USD and will be available via ssense.com and at the brick and mortar Ssense retail location in Montreal. Check out the images below to get a better look at the Ssense x Reebok Run.r 96.
