Bruce Lee Honored in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Adidas Sneaker
Here's a detailed look at the 'Game of Death'-inspired Adidas Jabbar Lo.
The retro run of the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Adidas signature shoe, the Jabbar Lo, will soon continue with a special colorway that honors the late martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
Newly leaked images from House of Heat show that this black and yellow-colored Adidas Jabbar Lo pays homage to the classic 1978 film Game of Death, which both Lee and Jabbar appeared in.
The sneaker features a premium yellow hairy suede upper paired with black accents on the tongue and Three Stripes on the sides, referencing the jumpsuit Lee wore in the movie. The standout element is Lee's signature embroidered on the heel counter and a logo of Lee doing a jump kick on the heel. It's worth mentioning that behind-the-scenes images captured of both Lee and Abdul-Jabbar during filming are printed on the box and accompanying tissue paper.
Despite an early look at the sneaker, release details for this Game of Death-themed Jabbar Lo have yet to be announced by Adidas.
