JJJJound's 'Mushroom' New Balance 993 Collab Releases This Week

JJJJound is getting ready to release another sneaker project with longtime partner New Balance, as evidenced by these teaser photos pictured here.

This time, the Justin Saunders-helmed design studio and the Boston-based sportswear brand have created two premium versions of the popular 993 model.

The color schemes used for the upcoming pairs aren't exactly new; the initial brown colorway was previously used for their 992 collab in 2020 and the two-tone brown and black pair featured on the 990v3 from 2022. The only JJJJound branding on the shoe can be seen printed on the insoles.

JJJJound's partnership with New Balance began in 2018 with the release of a tan 990v3. Their most recent collab arrived in February and featured two 2002R Gore-Tex styles.

There are currently no release details available for this two-shoe JJJJound x New Balance 993 collection, but we'll keep you updated with new developments as they become available.

UPDATE (01/13): JJJJound has announced that its mushroom and white New Balance 993 collab (seen directly below) will first drop on Thursday, Jan. 16, at JJJJound.com at 12 p.m. ET. The sneaker will then be released at select New Balance accounts on Friday, Jan. 17. At the time of writing, the release for the brown and black colorway has yet to be announced.
