Lil Yachty and Bimma Williams Settle Sneaker Dispute
The duo addressed their differences on social media yesterday.
Lil Yachty and Bimma Williams have settled their differences following their verbal altercation that started over Williams' criticism of Yachty's Nike Air Force 1 collaboration.
Last week, Williams posted a video on Instagram that not only took shots at Yachty's upcoming Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 but at the rapper himself, saying that the sneaker "feels like a general release" and he probably "thinks Wu-Tang is a hot sauce."
The animosity spilled over to the ComplexCon 2024 Sneaker of the Year panel this past weekend when Yachty defended his project and his history in sneakers to the audience that Williams was a part of.
In the late afternoon yesterday, Williams went on Instagram Live with Yachty to confirm that they had made amends over the situation. Yachty explained that his outburst at the panel came out of a place of passion, and what he did was "corny." Williams added that he still wants fans to show support for the rapper and his future endeavors.
The Concrete Boys x Nike Air Force 1 was released in limited fashion at ComplexCon 2024, with a wider drop expected to take place soon.
