How to Buy This Kobe Bryant-Themed Nike Air Force 1
A photo of Bryant shooting free throws in pajamas appears on this new Air Force 1 Protro.
A few months have passed since Nike last released an Air Force 1 colorway in honor of the late Kobe Bryant, and now we're learning that another Black Mamba-themed sneaker is on the way.
Vanessa Bryant previewed several Kobe-themed Nike releases on Instagram yesterday, including this previously unseen Air Force 1 Low. The upper dons a tonal pale yellow color scheme on the premium leather upper and has a new overlay panel on the heel referencing Kobe's NBA jersey number. Additional details include the Kobe Sheath logo on the tongue and Kobe's signature replacing the traditional "Air" branding on the midsole.
At the time of writing, a firm release date for this new "Kobe Bryant" Nike Air Force 1 colorway has not yet been announced by the brand. Check back soon for updates.
UPDATE (06/05): Thanks to Shelflife Store, we now have a closer look at one of the upcoming Kobe Bryant-themed Air Force 1 Lows. In the images shared by the store, we have confirmation that the style is actually inspired by the iconic photo of Bryant shooting free throws with his left hand in his pajamas after breaking his right hand in 1999. The sneaker also features the image printed on the drop-in ReactX midsole. As of now, release details for the sneaker have yet to be announced by Nike.
UPDATE (06/14): Nike has confirmed that this Kobe Bryant-themed Nike Air Force 1 Protro will release on June 24 via SNKRS and at select retailers for $150. Grab a closer look at the style below.
