Giannis Antetokounmpo's Nike Giannis Freak 7 Releases This Month
Here's where to buy the Nike Giannis Freak 7.
Often times, new sneaker models end up being leaked on the internet by unauthorized sources far before they're intended to be shown to the public. Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken matters into his own hands, and already shared a preview of his next Nike signature model on social media.
Seemingly out of nowhere last night, Antetokounmpo posted an early look at his Giannis Freak 7 on Instagram. The Greek Freak shared two colorways of the unreleased silhouette, including a sail and mint makeup and a black and red iteration. The model has a mid-cut upper and features a reverse Swoosh logo on the sides, which has been used on several previous Freak sneakers. The outsole also uses a new pattern incorporating Antetokounmpo's last name into the design.
Despite an early look from the Greek Freak himself, release details for the Giannis Freak 7 have not yet been announced by Nike. Check back soon for official updates.
UPDATE (07/07): Months have passed since Antetokounmpo himself leaked his next signature shoe, and Nike has now officially unveiled the Giannis Freak 7.
The brand says the sneaker was designed to help players who perform sharp cuts and Euro steps, which starts at the ground up with a newly designed traction pattern on the outsole. Moving up the shoe is a full-length Cushlon 3.0 midsole and a mid-cut upper inspired by Greek sandals and providing better heel containment.
The Nike Giannis Freak 7 releases in the "Ignition" colorway on July 29 at Nike.com and at select retailers.
