Nike has celebrated Jackie Robinson Day (April 15) in recent years with commemorative footwear releases, and while the majority of the past drops were lifestyle options, the latest pair is designed to be worn on the diamond.
Pictured here is the upcoming Jackie Robinson-themed Nike Griffey 2 MCS baseball cleat expected to hit retailers in April. The standout element of this colorway is a graphic of Robinson's jersey number appearing in the font of all 30 MLB teams as a nod to the number being retired across the league. Elsewhere, the upper is equipped with grey leather panels, a black heel counter, and cleats on the bottom for stability.
