Sabrina Ionescu's Nike Sabrina 3 Officially Unveiled
Ionescu's next Nike signature shoe debuts this month.
Nike may soon introduce a new sneaker for New York Liberty All-Star guard Sabrina Ionescu's widely popular signature basketball line, as evidenced by the video shown here.
Leaker @760kix on Instagram has shared what appears to be a first look at the previously unseen Nike Sabrina 3. While the tech specs of the silhouette are currently unknown, the unreleased model once again features a low-cut upper, similar to the two previous Sabrina sneakers. A Swoosh logo appears at the midfoot of the lateral side, and on the medial side the branding dips down to the midsole—much like the Sabrina 2. The iteration shown in the video has a split midsole, with white foam on the heel and a translucent panel at the forefoot.
Despite the purported Sabrina 3 surfacing, Ionescu's next signature shoe has yet to be unveiled by Nike. Check back soon for official updates.
UPDATE (07/08): Nike has officially unveiled Ionescu's latest signature shoe, the Sabrina 3. The sneaker is equipped with a breathable mesh upper and has cables at the midfoot for containment. The midsole is constructed of the responsive Cushlon 3.0 foam, with a Zoom Air unit tucked within the forefoot and a shank plate at the midfoot. The design is completed with a translucent outsole featuring cutouts towards the heel for additional weight reduction.
“I know every single basketball player who puts on the Sabrina 3 will continue to see and feel the work that we’ve put in to create the best performance shoe that we can,” Ionescu said. "This shoe represents so much of me, from the vertical Swoosh that we’ve had since the Sabrina 1 to the design touches personal to me. I hope it inspires all hoopers, especially young girls, helping them continue to break down barriers and believe in themselves."
The Nike Sabrina 3 releases on July 24 at Nike.com and at Nike retailers. Grab a closer look at the "Blueprint" colorway below.
