Detailed Look at the Nike GT Future
The Nike GT Future basketball shoe is expected to release later this year.
Out of nowhere, rapper and longtime sneakerhead Wale quietly unveiled a new Nike basketball shoe at an NBA All-Star event last night.
In the images shared by @higherlxng on Instagram, Wale was spotted wearing a previously unseen silhouette from the Swoosh. In terms of design, the latest shoe does have some similarities to the Zoom Hyperflight sans the exoskeletal element on the upper of the '01 model. The unnamed sneaker worn by Wale features a one-piece orange upper offset by a black tongue and black rubber outsole. Swoosh logos appear on the heel counter on the lateral side and toward the toe box on the medial portion.
Despite an early look from Wale, official details pertaining to this new Nike shoe have yet to be announced by the brand. Check back soon for updates in the coming weeks.
UPDATE (03/27): New images of the unreleased Nike GT Future have been shared by @rcclientele3 on Instagram. Unlike the colorway worn by Wale in February, this pair dons an iridescent color scheme on the upper. At the time of writing, release details for the basketball silhouette have not yet been announced by Nike.
