Earl Thomas’ estranged wife, Nina Thomas, who had been married to the 35-year-old former NFL star from 2016 to 2020, has been charged with multiple crimes, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft, according to court documents reviewed by TMZ.

Prosecutors allege that beginning Sept. 2021, shortly after filing for divorce, Nina and an accomplice, whose name was redacted from the documents, illegally transferred over $2.7 million from Earl’s accounts into their own.

Some of the funds were reportedly spent on breast implants and an Hermes Birkin bag.

A warrant was issued for Nina’s arrest on Dec. 13. She was placed in handcuffs three days later, but was eventually released. TMZ's reporting did not specify where she was detained.

The former couple tied the knot in 2016 but had a tumultuous relationship. After allegations of infidelity, Nina reportedly threatened Earl with a loaded gun during an April 2020 incident. She filed for divorce months later citing adultery as the cause for their split.
