DeAndre Jordan Says 50 Cent's "Many Men" Is Nikola Jokić's Favorite Song
Apparently, the Denver Nuggets star knows every word to 50 Cent's seminal track.
In an appearance on Run it Back, DeAndre Jordan revealed what his Denver Nuggets teammate Nikola Jokić's favorite song is.
"Peyton Watson is our locker room DJ, so anytime Nikola request a song, if it's not like Serbian folk music it is 'Many Men' by 50 Cent," Jordan shared. "He knows the words from start to finish. ... That's his song, man, he loves it." Jordan was asked if Jokić had seen 50 Cent's 2005 movie Get Rich or Die Tryin', and he joked, "You know what, I don't know, but if he hasn't I'm going to get it for him on VHS."
Judging from his recent performance on the court, Jokić is clearly getting pumped up by the track if he's been requesting it in the locker rooms recently. During the Tuesday, Jan. 14 game against the Dallas Mavericks, he became the fastest player in NBA history to garner 15,000 points, 7,500 rebounds, and 5,000 assists. The three-time MVP and 2023 NBA champion is having an incredible season so far, and perhaps 50 Cent's seminal 2003 track had something to do with that.
Despite the evergreen popularity of the song, 50 Cent revealed in 2023 that "Many Men" is his least favorite song from his landmark debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
“'Many Men' was my least favorite at that point because musically we was in the boom-bap phase," Fif shared with Apple Music 1. "We was in that hard-hitting intensity, the energy on the records, and it's the slowest song on Get Rich or Die Tryin'. And it's now the tempo that the artists are rapping to. So the fast tempo, hard-hitting beats, that was that era, that time period. And the whole album had it."
