WWE Bringing SummerSlam to Movie Theaters Thanks to New Fandango Partnership
SummerSlam will stream in select movie theaters on August 2nd and August 3rd.
WWE is turning its biggest party of the summer into a bona fide blockbuster.
According to an official announcement from the company, thanks to a fresh partnership with ticketing giant Fandango, the first‑ever two‑night SummerSlam—broadcast live from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3—will hit select Regal Cinemas nationwide. Fans can now scoop up seats on Fandango and swap the living‑room couch for stadium‑sized surround sound.
The cinema rollout marks the launch of a new multi-event alliance between WWE and Fandango, with Regal serving as the anchor exhibitor for 2025, and other theater chains are expected to join in for future Premium Live Events.
“WWE is one of the most electrifying global entertainment brands, and its events deserve to be experienced on the big screen,” said Will McIntosh, Fandango’s president, in a statement accompanying the official announcement from the WWE.
Moviegoers can choose from two ticket formats: snag a single‑night pass for either Saturday or Sunday or lock in a two‑night bundle that comes with access to both screenings plus an exclusive SummerSlam tee, courtesy of WWE’s merchandising partner Fanatics.
Brooks LeBoeuf, Regal Cinemas’ SVP of U.S. Content, framed the event as the next evolution of communal sports entertainment. “Bringing SummerSlam to Regal’s screens elevates the fan experience to a whole new level—making viewers feel like they’re ringside, no matter where they are,” he said in a statement included in the company announcement.
That ringside vibe will be critical when the marquee match—a WrestleMania 41 rematch pitting Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena against Cody Rhodes—blows up the Jumbotron in Dolby Atmos.
Can’t make it to the theater? SummerSlam still streams live at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and lands on Netflix for international audiences. But if watching WWE’s pyrotechnics with a theater-wide pop sounds tempting, tickets for the two-night SummerSlam cinema event are now on sale via Fandango.
