Caitlin Clark Seen Partying Ahead of WNBA All-Star Weekend Despite Groin Injury
Caitlin Clark's injury might keep her out of the WNBA All-Star game, but it won't stop her from hitting the club.
Caitlin Clark won't take the floor at this weekend's WNBA All-Star game, but that doesn't mean she's not going to have a good time in celebrating everything that comes with being the face of the league.
The Indiana Fever star was spotted raging Thursday night in Indianapolis, and that groin injury certainly seems to have done little to slow her down. Clark was joined by a few other WNBA stars, making her way to the DJ booth at INVY Nightclub.
Remember, it was only a few hours prior Clark announced she needed to take a break — at least from the basketball court — to rest the reoccurring injury. Not only was Clark supposed to be a part of the All-Star game, she was also to take part in the 3-point contest.
In her statement, Clark said, " have to rest my body. I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I'm looking forward to helping Sandy coach our team to a win."
Of course, this year's WNBA All-Star game was supposed to be extra special for Clark and fans as its being held in Indianapolis, where the athlete and the Indiana Fever play.
Clark struggled in her most recent outing Tuesday when the Fever took on Connecticut. The star went just 4 of 14 from the field and 1 of 7 from three before leaving the game early after aggravating the groin injury that has bothered her a lot of this season.
On Wednesday, Fever coach Stephanie White remained hopeful of Clark's day-to-day injury status, saying, "I consider it good news, just because, for me, if it's anything that we're talking about day-to-day, it's always good news for me."
Apparently, Clark feels the best way for her to get feeling better is to take a break during all of the on-court All-Star activities ... but it's green-light for club activities.
