The summer of Klay Thompson continues, as the NBA All-Star showed off his impressive skills from the pitcher's mound.

Thompson was tapped to throw the first pitch at the Texas Rangers game on Monday, July 21, during the team's Dallas Mavericks night. Thompson, wearing a white Rangers jersey and blue cap took the mound before the start of the game to get things started with the ceremonial pitch.

The Dallas Mavericks star didn't seem fazed at all, throwing a perfect pitch that painted the corner and generated a thunderous applause from the crowd. Thompson gave a subtle fist pump after the toss ... embracing Rangers third base coach Tony Beasley.

Thompson has been on quite the run this summer — his relationship with Megan Thee Stallion (whose real name is Megan Pete) went public, and the couple made their red carpet debut last week at the Grammy-winning rapper's Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City.

Pete had incredible things to say about Thompson, telling Page Six at the event, “I have never dated somebody so kind ... This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.”

She continued, “I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”

Thompson also flashed his new watch at the event that he was gifted from Pete, and worth a reported $300,000.

It was a disappointing season for Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks last year, the team failed to make the playoffs after trading away Luka Doncic to the Lakers in a controversial move that rocked the league.

However, the Mavericks have a lot of steam behind them for the upcoming season after drafting Cooper Flagg with the #1 pick in the draft. The team also re-sgned Kyrie Irving who is still recovering from injury.

It's a good time to be Thompson.
