Myles Garrett Shows Off Insane Physique in Shirtless Press Conference
Garrett praised Shedeur Sanders while showing off his buff physique.
Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett didn't take any time off in the gym over the summer.
Garrett met with reporters following practice on August 6 wearing only his gear from the waist down. Garrett has always maintained a sculpted physique, but the shirtless presser reminded everyone why he's one of the strongest and most athletic players in the league.
Speaking with reporters, Garrett praised Shedeur Sanders, who Cleveland drafted in the fifth round of this year's NFL Draft. Garrett said, "He’s funny, he’s optimistic, light-hearted, but he works hard. He takes it seriously, his craft and he watches what the others are doing it while doing it his own way in which only he can."
He continued, "So, you know, looking forward to seeing him in these preseason games and how he manages the offense but I think he looks good, but all the guys look good right now."
Sanders is currently competing for a quarterback spot on Cleveland's roster, where he's got some stiff competition.
As for Garrett, he became a whole lot richer over the offseason when he signed an extension with the Browns. The deal included a total value of $160 million over four years, with approximately $123.5 million guaranteed.
At the time of the contract agreement, Garrett became the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Garrett's record was upended a few weeks later when T.J. Watt signed a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers at $41 million per year.
Garrett's contract renegotiation with Cleveland came as a surprise to many as he had openly expressed his frustrations with the organization's inability to win only weeks prior. The team went 3-14 last year and finished fourth in the AFC North.
