Shaq Says Men Are Not 'Supposed to Be All the Way Honest' With Women: ‘Mind Your Business’
Shaq recently made headlines when Jess Hilarious claimed he had four white women living in his home.
Shaquille O’Neal will probably not leave his phone unlocked around his next date.
The basketball legend appeared on the It’s Giving Podcast, where host Sarah Fontenot asked if he would be with a phone checker.
The question prompted him to say that “all” women are phone checkers. He then offered up a scenario at around the 29:20 minute mark.
“We’re in the car. Tanya Big Booty Freak Colorado comes up on the Bluetooth. What you gonna do?”
“I’m gonna ask,” Fontenot responded.
“Thank you. You went through my phone,” Shaq said. “Now you a phone checker. … Street rule number one. Mind your business.”
The conversation then segued into whether or not he can be all the way honest with your girlfriend.
“No, you not supposed to be all the way honest,” Shaq explained. “Let’s just say that we have a semi-open relationship and you call me. You want me to say, ‘I’m with this freak, I’ma try to hit it. I’ll call you back.’ That’s honest. Or, ‘Baby can I call you back, I’m with a friend.’”
He added, “You say you want honesty—if you can handle that, yeah. But if you can’t handle it—sometimes you have to protect the feelings. That’s all I’m saying. I’m with a friend, that’s not a lie.”
Of course, the topic of Shaq’s mythical four white wives came up when he and Fontenot started discussing selectivity while dating or when seeking marriage.
“I don’t need to be selective—I got four white girls at the crib chilling,” Shaq said at around the 46:40 minute mark. “In the words of Chris Tucker, ‘Don’t worry about what the fuck I be doing.’”
Shaq’s phone comments parallel his recent conversation on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast, where he said he doesn’t think it’s cheating if he talks to women on the phone.
“If I’m not physically seeing somebody…and I’m with you every day and you know my schedule, it shouldn’t matter what I’m doing on my phone. It’s not cheating and then you can’t tell me that’s worse than cheating. It’s not. I just don’t understand that."
He also told Reese that he’s “gonna end up alone.”
As for the four white women—Jess Hilarious initially claimed that she saw the women at Shaq’s Atlanta home when she visited him.
“Yo, this man is living like Ne-Yo," she told her fellow Breakfast Club hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy earlier this month. "He got four white bitches.”
Shaq later made light of the situation on Instagram, alleging he was single again because of Jess’ comments. “See what happens when yall be all in my business, thanks to yall they left, now im all alone again. #fourofthem #shaqlikeneyo #4tingz,” he wrote.
