Fans can’t watch the Summer Olympics and not catch a sighting of Snoop Dogg.

The Long Beach native has become a staple in Paris, where he’s been seen at many Olympic competitions, including gymnastics, beach volleyball, and water polo. He’s cheering hard for Team America, often captured while dripped out in specialty Summer Olympics gear, made by NBC.

Uncle Snoop has taken on NBC hosting duties during the sporting event—and it’s costing the network a pretty penny. But exactly how much?

What’s the rumor that’s going around?

It’s been speculated that Snoop Dogg is earning $500,000 per day at the Paris Olympics, according to X user @henrylmcnamara, who tweeted on Sunday, “Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics—what a world.”

Sports business reporter Darren Rovell seemed to be thinking close to the same thing. He quote-tweeted the original post, writing, “Sounds about right. Someone asked me how much Snoop was making.” He added, “First number that came to mind was $10 million.”

Rovell isn’t far off. With the Summer Olympics being 16 days long, at $500,000 a day, Snoop’s payday will be $8 million.

Where did the information come from?

From a quick Google search, the original poster, X user @henrylmcnamara, appears to be Henry L. McNamara, a Partner at the venture capital firm Great Oaks, who also has made the Forbes 30-Under-30 list.

Is it confirmed Snoop Dogg is making this much?

Despite reports that Snoop is earning $500,000 a day at the Olympics, it isn’t confirmed. We don’t know for sure what he’s being paid.

What is Snoop Dogg doing at the Olympics?

Snoop has been active in Paris, kicking off the sporting event by carrying the Olympic torch, promoting the games as an NBC correspondent, and swimming with Michael Phelps. He was also called out by Simone Biles’ mom for ducking a fan photo with them back in 2010.
