Intro

No one ever said dealing drugs was easy. By the time you've climbed to the top of your local scene, there's another young punk trying to take you down. No wonder so many drug movies don't end well for the dealers. Along the way, though, it's a great ride. There are parties, women, drugs (of course), and flashy cars. Scarface had his Bentley. Big Worm had his orange Impala. No matter how they choose to roll, the best drug kingpins always have nice rides. Here, we present the 25 best from film.

Young Tony Montana, Scarface (1983)

25. Scarface (1983)

Kingpin: Young Tony Montana (Al Pacino)
Car: 1963 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible
Complex Says: Tony Montana would eventually own a Porsche and a big white Bentley, but we'll always love his convertible Cadillac with tiger stripe interior. Say hello to his tacky yellow caddy.

Henry Hill, Goodfellas (1990)

24. Goodfellas (1990)

Kingpin: Henry Hill (Ray Liotta)
Car: 1979 Cadillac Coupe de Ville
Complex Says: Like every other kingpin in the '70s, Henry Hill rolled in a Coupe de Ville. This is the Phaeton special edition.

Guajiro, Carlito's Way (1993)

23. Carlito's Way (1993)

Kingpin: Guajiro (John Ortiz)
Car: 1973 Chevrolet Nova
Complex Says: Guajiro's first big drug deal doesn't end well, but at least he got to drive this sweet Nova before they snuffed him.

Helena Ayala, Traffic (2000)

22. Traffic (2000)

Kingpin: Helena Ayala (Catherine Zeta-Jones)
Car: Mercedes-Benz ML
Complex Says: When her husband goes down on drug charges, Zeta-Jones does what any good suburban mom would do. She takes over, making her the only drug lord who drives a Mercedes SUV.

Keyser Söze, The Usual Suspects (1995)

21. The Usual Suspects (1995)

Kingpin: Keyser Söze (Kevin Spacey)
Car: 1993 Jaguar XJ6
Complex Says: The ultimate crime boss doesn't need to flash his power. In fact, he keeps it hidden. In the movie's last memorable scene, Keyser Soze is whisked away in this classy four-door Jag.

Frank Lucas, American Gangster (2007)

20. American Gangster (2007)

Kingpin: Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington)
Car: 1962 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limousine
Complex Says: In his daily life, Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas drove (or, rather, was driven around in) a pimp-style, four-door Lincoln. When he got hitched, he chose something more elaborate, a '62 Rolls. And he still got pulled over by the cops.

George Jung & Tuna, Blow (2001)

19. Blow (2001)

Kingpin: George Jung and Tuna (Johnny Depp and Ethan Suplee)
Car: 1975 Winnebago Indian
Complex Says: Before there was blow, there was weed. With help from his fat friend, Tuna, Depp's George Jung loaded up a Winnebago and took their show on the road.

Ox, Belly (1998)

18. Belly (1998)

Kingpin: Ox (Louie Rankin)
Car: 1995 Mercedes-Benz S420

Elliot Blitzer, True Romance (1993)

17. True Romance (1993)

Kingpin: Elliot Blitzer (Bronson Pinchot)
Car: Porsche 911 Flat Nose
Complex Says: The bumbling Elliot tried so hard to broker a big coke deal between Clarence and his boss, but it just didn't work out. At least he got busted behind the wheel of a Porsche.

Pablo Escobar, Blow (2001)

16. Blow (2001)

Kingpin: Pablo Escobar (Cliff Curtis)
Car: Jeep CJ-5
Complex Says: No doubt, Pablo's flashier cars are in the garage. For tooling around the compound, the ruthless drug lord favored a stripped-down Jeep (at least according to this movie).

Alain Charnier, The French Connection (1971)

15. The French Connection (1971)

Kingpin: Alain Charnier (Fernando Rey)
Car: 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III
Complex Says: Sometimes, the car itself is the kingpin. In The French Connection, the smuggler nicknamed "Frog One" stuffs his Lincoln with heroin in Europe and has the car shipped to the U.S. In real life, it was a 1960 Buick.

Eddie Adams, Boogie Nights (1997)

14. Boogie Nights (1997)

Kingpin: Eddie Adams (Mark Wahlberg)
Car: 1977 Chevrolet Corvette
Complex Says: Eddie Adams was a lot of thing: aspiring actor, aspiring singer and very accomplished porn star. He also tried to get into the drug-lord business. When things didn't work out, he sped away in this foxy '77 'Vette.

Franz Sanchez, James Bond: License to Kill (1989)

13. License to Kill (1989)

Kingpin: Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi)
Car: 1987 Maserati Biturbo 425i
Complex Says: These days, drug baron Franz Sanchez's four-door Maserati looks like any other boring sedan from the '80s. But back then, it was a serious machine. Added bonus: The trunk comes equipped with two Stinger missiles.

Young Henry Hill, Goodfellas (1990)

12. Goodfellas (1990)

Kingpin: Henry Hill (Ray Liotta)
Car: 1966 Chrysler Newport Convertible
Complex Says: Back when he was still climbing the ranks, future kingpin Henry Hill impressed the girls with his yellow Chrysler.

11. Blow (2001)

Tony Montana, Scarface (1983)

10. Scarface (1983)

Kingpin: Tony Montana (Al Pacino)

Caine, Menace II Society (1993)

9. Menace II Society (1993)

Kingpin: Caine (Tyrin Turner)

8. True Romance (1993)

Kingpin: Clarence Worley (Christian Slater)
Car: 1973 Cadillac Eldorado

Nino Brown, New Jack City (1991)

7. New Jack City (1991)

Kingpin: Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes)
Car: Jeep Wrangler YJ
Complex Says: Before Snipes was unsuccessfully dodging the IRS, he played more than a few badass dealers. In New Jack City, his Nino Brown rolls in no-bullshit Jeep Wrangler YJ from either the late-'70s or early-'80s.

Samson Simpson, Half Baked (1998)

6. Half Baked (1998)

Kingpin: Samson Simpson (Clarence Williams III)
Car: Gold-Plated Wheelchair
Complex Says: This motherfucker doesn't roll in a 24-carat wheelchair because he's crippled. When you're in charge, you don't walk if you don't feel like it.

XXXX, Layer Cake (2004)

5. Layer Cake (2004)

Kingpin: XXXX (Daniel Craig)
Car: Mercedes-Benz
Complex Says: Dismissed as a young-turk metrosexual by his criminal overlord, the London coke dealer portrayed by Craig in Layer Cake (he's never given a name) is indeed a fancy boy. For most of his nefarious dealings, XXXX drives a sleek but sensible Audi RS6. At the top of his game, he wisely upgrades to this classic Benz two-door.

Frank White, King of New York (1990)

4. King of New York (1990)

Kingpin: Frank White (Christopher Walken)
Car: 1984 Cadillac Brougham Stretch Limo

Huggy Bear, Starsky & Hutch (2004)

3. Starsky & Hutch (2004)

Kingpin: Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg)
Car: 1976 Lincoln Continental
Complex Says: Snoop's acting may not win him any awards, but his turn as Huggy Bear—Starsky and Hutch's friendly neighborhood drug dealer—was inspired casting. His ride was a perfectly pimped-out '76 Lincoln Continental.

Big Worm, Friday (1995)

2. Friday (1995)

Kingpin: Big Worm (Faizon Love)
Car: 1961 Chevy Impala
Complex Says: Big Worm proves that the brighter the colors, the more dangerous the beast. His 1961 Chevy Impala convertible is painted bright orange—with matching orange interior. It's a low rider, of course.

Youngblood Priest, Super Fly (1972)

1. Super Fly (1972)

Kingpin: Youngblood Priest (Ron O'Neal)
Car: 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado
Complex Says: The original pimpmobile, Youngblood Priest's tricked-out '71 Caddy Eldorado was the real thing. The movie's producers only added a little more flair. (That's not a standard Cadillac hood ornament, for example.) It was pretty much the same car that a street hustler known as "K.C." actually drove.
