Culture Kings Brings the F1 Heat to Melbourne with McLaren Showcar and Exclusive Race Week Drops
From a million-dollar McLaren squeezing into the store to exclusive F1 collections and live events, Culture Kings’ Race Week is the ultimate pit stop for motorsport fans.
Moving a car through any of Melbourne’s crowded laneways is difficult at the best of times, but when that car is a McLaren Formula One car worth upwards of a million dollars, it becomes much more high-stakes.
But after some careful maneuvering and tense moments, the high-powered racecar made it into Culture Kings’ Melbourne store on Russell Street without a scratch. The McLaren was installed to kick off Culture Kings’ stacked Race Week in the lead-up to this week’s Australian F1 Grand Prix. The week will see major events and competitions unfold, and official F1 clothing collections on offer for fans to prepare for the big weekend.
You can expect something fresh to be found in store each day of the week: the opportunity to get up close and personal with the authentic McLaren Showcar and test your skills and reflexes on the official AGP track with custom simulators; check out the F1 archival display; and head on down to the store on Saturday and Sunday for their official watch party!
Alongside all the things to see in store, Culture Kings also has your race day drip covered with key collections from Mitchell & Ness x McLaren, Puma x Ferrari and Adidas x Mercedes Benz—giving customers plenty of options to get decked out and rep their favourite teams and drivers.
Taking a classic streetwear approach to their collection, the McLaren and Mitchell & Ness drop features a range of black tees and sweatshirts—covered in the helmets of the team’s two superstar drivers, Lando Norris and hometown hero Oscar Piastri.
The collaboration between two classic German brands, Adidas and Mercedes-Benz, features a selection of jackets, shirts, and caps adorned in the team’s iconic Tiffany green and black, which gives the pieces a sleek, clean feel.
After working together for 20 years, Ferrari and Puma have their collaboration game down. Several tees, caps, and jumpers are available in Ferrari colours, with the hockey jersey and team jacket being particular standouts. Both are in classic Ferrari red, and the hockey jersey has a unique long-sleeved look. The jacket is a perfect bold piece for the upcoming winter.
