It's no secret that Travis Kelce has been spending a great deal of time getting ready for the 2025 football season.

After announcing his decision to return to the Kansas City Chiefs, it seems as though the tight end wasted no time getting to work. While he's certainly enjoyed some downtime during the off season, he's been mindful of what's ahead — and he's reportedly dropped some serious weight in preparation.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said that football fans will see a slimmer Kelce when he takes the field.

"The Chiefs knew that Kelce was going to be gone this week. He's expected back for mini-camp. He'll address the media and be on the practice field — all that fun stuff," Fowler said on SportsCenter on Saturday, June 14.

"He will debut a bit of a slimmer look. He’s told people close to him that he’s lost about 25 pounds this offseason. Played a little heavier in 2024, was sort of a thing. He vowed to change it and he has," Fowler continued before noting that 2025 could very well be the last season that Kelce plays in the NFL.

As the new season approaches, Kelce has been hitting the gym in Florida where he's been training for the past few weeks. He and his girlfriend Taylor Swift have been spotted on quite a few date nights in the Palm Beach area, which has been really exciting for locals.

The Chiefs will play the Arizona Cardinals in their first pre-season game on August 9. Their first official game of the season will take place on September 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers and their first home game of the season will be a Super Bowl LIX rematch as the Philadelphia Eagles will come to Arrowhead Stadium on September 14.
