Fever Fans Express Frustration With Caitlin Clark For This Surprising Reason

It’s no secret that it has been an incredibly difficult season for Caitlin Clark, who has suffered through numerous injuries that have kept her off the court. In total, she has missed 13 of the 26 games that the Fever have played so far this year. Most recently, she suffered an aggravated right groin injury during a game against the Connecticut Sun back on July 15. Since then, she’s been unable to play due to needing to rest the injury.

However, when a recent video was released showing some of Clark’s off-court activities, some fans were a little put off.

The video, which was reposted by TMZ, showed Clark outside kicking a soccer ball while at McCombs Middle School in Des Moines, Iowa. The video was reportedly taken on Monday, July 28.

Clark was all smiles while playing around with some kids, and despite her injury, she seemed to be moving around without much issue. Some fans commented on the video, expressing their opinion that if Clark is unable to play basketball right now, she shouldn’t be exerting herself in this way. Many were concerned that this kind of activity could reinjure her groin, potentially making her recovery time even longer.

"Stop moving the right leg! PLEASE!!!!", commented one fan.

"Did she forget she has a groin injury?" questioned another.

Some people even went so far as to seemingly allege that Clark could be faking the injury.

"Oh yeah, that groin is looking real sore. Either she's almost back to 100% or there's some real bs goin on,” said one person.

The Fever will be playing against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, July 30. It has already been announced that Clark will be sitting out of the game. Whether or not she’s close to being able to return to the court is still a mystery.
