Cristiano Ronaldo will be leaping into sports to film.

On Thursday (April 10), the professional soccer icon revealed on social media that he's entered a joint venture film studio partnership with Matthew Vaughn, director of Kick-Ass and Argyle. Together, the two have established film studio UR-MARV, but here's the kicker–they've already made two movies with a third in the works.

It a statement, it was explained that the independent company will involve "innovative technology, with a nod to tradition." Together, Ronaldo and Vaughn have "financed and produced two action films and are about to start a third in the same series. They look forward to announcing the first release soon."

"This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look to new ventures in business," Ronaldo stated.

"Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero," Vaughn added.

Some believe that the UR-MARV announcement could mean that Kick-Ass 3 and 4 are on the way, as the second installment was released in 2013. But Vaughn revealed to Collider last year that while he won't be working on another Kick-Ass film, he'll be making a three-project reboot, with the first two installments titled School Fight and The Stuntman.

It's otherwise unsurprising that Ronaldo is making more entrepreneurial moves in entertainment since he's a favorite of online personalities iShowSpeed and Mr. Beast.
