Dennis Rodman wants his estranged daughter Trinity to know that he's "still trying" to improve their relationship.

The Washington Spirit soccer player was on a recent episode of podcast Call Her Daddy, where she went into depth about the severed ties between her and her father, even saying she doesn't consider him a "dad" at all.

"He’s not a dad. He’s a person, but he’s not a dad. Maybe by blood, nothing else," Trinity told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.

The 22-year-old also shared her concerns about her father allegedly being an alcoholic, explaining that her interactions with him "fucks me up every single time."

The former NBA player was clearly made aware of Trinity's comments. On Wednesday, he dedicated an Instagram reel to her that shows him looking through a photo album with pictures, including of his son DJ.

"Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop," Rodman wrote to Trinity in the caption. "I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.

"I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am," he continued. "I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that."

He concluded, "I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN."

The 63-year-old finished his message by revealing that he watches Trinity play "all the time," and once flew somewhere to watch his daughter but was told "not to show up." This resulted in Rodman catching Trinity's game from a nearby hotel balcony.

On Call Her Daddy, Trinity spoke about her father's appearance at a 2021 match, and although she posted the moment on Instagram, it was detailed that Rodman's presence caught her off-guard.

"When he showed up at my game, I was so mad," she said. "I started crying on the field. So I'm trying to play the soccer game and I'm crying. … I was so mad. I was like, 'You took this happy moment from me. You fucked with my head again.' I'm walking over there so mad, like, 'Fuck you.' I walk over there, he grabs my head and I just start bawling into his arms as if it's a daddy-daughter [moment]."
