Flavor Flav made good on his promise to an Olympic participant.

On Thursday (Aug. 1), Vanderbilt graduate student and track and field athlete Veronica Fraley shared on X that she was having difficulty in making enough for rent. The unfortunate announcement came one day ahead of the 24-year-old competing in the discus throw at the 2024 Summer Olympics as Team USA member.

"I compete in the Olympic Games TOMORROW and can’t even pay my rent," Fraley wrote. "my school only sent about 75 percent of my rent while they pay football players (who haven’t won anything ) enough to buy new cars and houses."

In a repost, Fraley clarified that her "irritation isn’t with the school itself," but "mainly the rules that bar me from making the amount I’m WORTH as a collegiate athlete such as NIL which favors popularity over performance."

Coming to Fraley's aid was the Public Enemy frontman, who asked her to DM him so he could send the payment.

"I’ll send payment TODAY so you don’t have to worry bout it TOMORROW,,, and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO,!!!" he wrote.

In a repost that included Huffpost's Philip Lewis, Flav reiterated that he's a "man of my word."

"This is what I been saying and promoting with water polo," he continued. "I can't fix everything on my own... but right now I am."

While Flav's been also recently been a help towards Red Lobster, he didn't have to handle Fraley's rent solo, as entrepreneur Alex Ohanian also sent $7,760.

Fraley's well prepared to have a successful outcome during her competition tomorrow, as Vanderbilt also posted a vlog of her time in Paris.
