Ahead of the highly anticipated Paris Olympics this year, a special day of celebration is being held in Budapest, Hungary.

More than just a sporting event, the celebration will incorporate culture, tying the history of the Olympics to music, fashion and art. One of the key elements, however, is the idea of getting people moving, not just within traditional athletics. It’s all part of the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Let’s Move campaign, encouraging all movement, whether it’s Olympic-level athletics, hiking, dancing, jogging, or anything else that gets the blood pumping.

Speaking on the Let’s Move campaign, IOC President Thomas Bach shares: “Athletes from all corners of the world and backgrounds are getting ready to participate in the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The athletes at the Games will inspire and encourage people everywhere to bring more movement to their lives, making it healthier, better and more joyful. We are very thankful that we could partner up with WHO again for this very important campaign.”

Of course, there will also be the qualifiers for the main competition, including sport climbing, skateboarding and BMX freestyle, but it’s about pushing the value of exercise of any kind while also championing Hungarian culture and the spirit of the Olympics.

Olympic Qualifier Series Budapest from June 19 to 23, concluding with Olympic Day, at Ludovika Campus in Hungary. You can keep up with the campaign and the events at the IOC YouTube channel.
