Report: Kings "Strongly Weighing" the Dismissal of George Karl as Head Coach
Friday's loss to the Nets was a tough pill for the Kings organization to swallow.
Could George Karl's days as the Sacramento Kings' head coach be numbered? According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, that could definitely be the case. In addition to losing six of their last seven games, the Kings suffered a brutal, blowout 128-119 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the team with the third-worst record in the league.
Karl "could be spared long enough" to be on the sidelines for the Kings' next game on Sunday against the Boston Celtics, however, Wojnarowski is reporting that the 64-year-old has "rapidly lost support in management and some parts of the locker room."
If Sacramento does part ways with Karl, he will be the team's fifth head coach in just five years.
