The Lexus World Surf League Pipe Pro competition is a surfer’s dream. Held at the Banzai Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, it features some of the most formidable waves in the Pacific Ocean, drawing the attention and respect of other surfers and sports enthusiasts alike.

At the four-day competition held at the end of January and early February, marquee sponsor Lexus also brought its Lexus House to the beach, offering attendees a place to gather at the entrance of the Beach Park.

The 450-square-foot space, created in partnership with Complex, acted as a comfortable lounge where attendees could relax and enjoy small bites, including mochi chicken provided by Lexus Culinary Master Chef Shota Nakajima. The luxury carmaker also displayed some of its top vehicles, including the 2025 Surf LX and LX Yeti.

Inside, Pipe Pro attendees were given the chance to enter to win limited and exclusive Free & Easy merch made specifically for the event. One lucky guest even walked away with a custom Free & Easy x Lexus x Complex x WSL surf board on the final day of the event. Complex also decorated the VIP viewing area with custom Lexus touches, which included pillows, wall decor, and photos which gave the area a premium yet cozy feel.

Back in the water,  Barron Mamiya, a North Shore local, joined an elite list of surfers who’ve won back-to-back Lexus World Surf League Pipe Pro titles, earning his second title in a row, besting Leonardo Fioravanti.  On the women’s side, Tyler Wright beat defending world Pipe Pro champ Caitlin Simmers, who, at 18, was the youngest ever to win the title.
