The Miami Grand Prix was in full throttle on Sunday, and TAG Heuer spent the week leading up to it in pole position, celebrating the past, present, and future of its partnership with F1.

On Wednesday, a pop-up event at the TAG Heuer Aventura Boutique signaled the start of the festivities. Attendees were able to race through the luxury brand’s history in motorsports, dating back to the early 1970s. TAG Heuer revealed its new collection of Formula 1 watches for the first time, including the limited edition F1 Solargraph. The red accents incorporated into the timepiece’s predominantly matte black features matched the Air Jordan Breds that Complex host Kylie Mar wore to the event. An Oracle Red Bull Show Car, one that F1 legend Max Verstappen might take the wheel in, sat outside the boutique to hype up race weekend—fitting since TAG Heuer and Red Bull are also long-time partners.

Complex then had the unique opportunity to get a sneak-peek of the circuit at Miami International Autodrome just days before the Grand Prix. Outside of taking a lap around the paddock and pit lane, we spoke exclusively with Aiva Anagnostiadis, the first female Australian driver to compete in the F1 Academy.

“Being a role model to the younger girls coming through, it’s an honor to be on the worldwide stage and showing them that this is possible,” the 17-year-old remarked. “To have the TAG Heuer logo on my shirt and walk around with the watch and represent the brand as a female in a motorsport community is amazing.”

The next day, we hit up a TAG Heuer -hosted cocktail hour, where brand ambassadors (and athletes) Jaime Jaquez Jr., Tyrod Taylor, and Paris Hilinski toasted the weekend. Jaquez, a Mexican-American guard for the hometown Miami Heat, showed off his most-cherished grail: a TAG Heuer Panamericana Carrera timepiece, named after what many consider to be the most dangerous racing event in the world.

To drive further excitement, F1 and TAG Heuer lit up downtown Miami (literally) on Friday. Miami Tower illuminated the night sky with TAG Heuer ’s iconic red and vibrant green colors and displayed rotating F1 and brand crests. The tower takeover set the stage for race week, and like TAG Heuer, was emblematic of precision, power, and elite craftsmanship.

A Saturday sunset soiree on Miami Beach helped TAG Heuer and F1 cross the week’s finish line in style. Dolphins’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey made an appearance, along with celebrity basketball trainer Chris Brickley, NASCAR driver and model Toni Breidinger, and more. As Orange Calderon DJ’d, guests were able to test their racing abilities with an immersive F1 simulator.

Check out TAG Heuer’s F1 collection and stay locked on Complex for more upcoming releases from the luxury brand.
