Wrestling fans have done some wild things to get noticed by their favorite superstars, but flying across international borders, sneaking past security, and leaving a two-page rant on a wrestler’s porch? That’s a new one.

On Tuesday, July 1, a federal grand jury indictment was unsealed charging a Canadian man with interstate stalking — more than a month after he allegedly traveled to Florida, tried to break into WWE superstar Liv Morgan’s home, and left behind a bizarre handwritten note.

According to federal court documents reviewed by The Independent, Shawn Aaron Chan, 41, of Scarborough, Ontario, arrived in the Sunshine State on May 26, the same day his passport was issued. He told U.S. Customs officials he was headed to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, but instead drove nearly two hours to the 31-year-old pro wrestler’s Pasco County home five days later, on May 31.

Morgan, whose legal name is Gionna Daddio, wasn’t home at the time. But her mom, Georgette Daddio, who looks after the property when she’s away, arrived on June 2 to find a pile of packages and a “disturbing” two-page letter waiting on the front porch.

The note was addressed to “Liv, Gionna” and opened with:

“It's me Shawn the guy you all hang out with on FFIl online (the one who called you ‘Bubble’) and also the one that you ALL disrespected, exploited, and INVADED my privacy on a daily basis, all the way in CANADA. I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more. Yet, I'm the one who looks like a stalker thx to all of you."

Video evidence showed Chan not only searching for a hidden key but also holding an AR-15-style BB gun, which he allegedly found on Morgan’s porch. He reportedly spent over two hours circling the house and a backyard barn before leaving the scene.

Chan was detained on June 3 at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando — after security recognized him from surveillance stills — and was formally booked into Pasco County Jail a week later, on June 10, records show. He faces burglary charges locally and was later indicted on a federal interstate-stalking count, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

The unsettling incident unfolded just two weeks before Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder on June 16, an injury that required surgery and forced her to step away from her run as Women’s Tag Team champion.
