Jon Jones paid homage to President-Elect Donald Trump after winning his championship bout at UFC 309 by performing the incoming president's signature dance move with Trump sitting ringside.

On Saturday night, Jones defeated Stipe Miocic with a spinning back kick to the ribs in the third round that ended the fight in a technical knockout. As the referee awarded Jones the victory, he pulled off Trump's dance moves and pointed at him, as Trump approved with a smile and a thumbs-up in return.

Trump was watching the fight alongside Elon Musk, UFC CEO Dana White, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kid Rock and more.

"A big, big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight," Jones said in an interview with Joe Rogan after the fight. "I'm proud to be a great American champion. I'm proud to be a Christian American champion."

When the interview was over, Jones walked towards Trump and handed him his world heavyweight championship belt. Trump also invited Jones to visit the White House once he's sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Trump's arrival at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night drew a loud cheer from fans and various "USA!, USA!" chants.

"If people at home could hear the sound in this room right now. It is so loud!" Joe Rogan said during the fight broadcast as Trump walked in. "It's always loud when he comes in, but now that he's won [the election], now that he's the president again, oh my God!"
