Kyrie Irving Tells His Livestream Viewers ‘Don’t Let Your Gooner Thoughts Win’
Irving told the gooners to stay true to themselves and not give in to their sexual thoughts.
Kyrie Irving had advice for some "gooners" watching his livestream, seemingly causing chaos in the chat room.
Over the weekend, Irving returned to Twitch for a special livestream with fans, and a group of people seemed to be causing chaos in the chat. Irving caught wind of what was happening and took time to address the situation by advising some "gooners" who were apparently doing too much in the chat.
"I love y'all who are nice, I love you guys who are passionate," said Irving. "I'm just talking about that one comment, two comments that people can't hold back. Don't let your thoughts win. Don't let your gooner thoughts win, dog. Don't let your addictions win."
The term "gooner" has been used lately to describe someone who practices masturbation for a long period of time or makes unsolicited comments. Whatever Irving saw in the chat was enough to have him call out the "gooners" and try to steer them on a better path.
Elsewhere in his livestream, Irving had to address some people who were asking to see one of his two sisters. Irving knows there are fans who "get away" with talking about his sister in other settings, but that won't fly during his livestream.
"Yo chat, what are y'all doing," Irving asked. "One person can end this whole stream, bro. Don't y'all dare tell me to put my sister on fullscreen. What's wrong with y'all? I know y'all be at home sometimes getting away with this shit but not here, though. Show some respect, bro. Don't make me stop my stream again like this."
