Bret Hart Opens Up About Roddy Piper's Death in Heartfelt Tribute
Bret Hart shares his feelings on the passing of his "dear friend."
When news broke Friday of the passing of ex-WWE superstar Roddy Piper, fans across the globe realized that the wrestling world (and, really, just the world) had lost an icon. Roddy embodied much of what it meant to be a great WWF/WWE personality, and it was fitting to see the tributes pour in from everyone from the now-notorious Hulk Hogan to beloved UFC star "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey.
On Saturday, another wrestling great expressed just what it meant to have Roddy Piper in his life.
Bret Hart—the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be—took to Facebook to tell the world how he felt hearing the news about his dear friend's passing:
Bret Hart certainly isn't alone in his sadness. If you're not familiar with Piper's work, do yourself a favor and read our man Khal's piece from Friday about the legendary wrestler. Or just watch the cult hit They Live.
Better yet—do both. We'll wait.
