Kia's revolution continues. First, a dramatic aesthetic overhaul. Now, claims of changing lanes and pushing into the luxury market.

Kia vice chairman Hyoung-Keun Lee announced that in five years, we can expect the brand to compete with the likes of Mercedes and BMW. The basis for the new aim is the Quoris, an attractive rear-wheel drive sedan that sells as the K9 in Korea. The U.S. market will see the Quoris in 2014 at an expected $55,000. We may also see a production version of the GT Concept that debuted in Frankfort last year. The GT, for all intents and purposes, would compete with the likes of the Porsche Panamera.
