LaMelo Ball Trolls the Internet With ‘Hot Chee Toes’ Foot Tattoo
LaMelo Ball’s tattoo artist admits his new ‘Hot Chee Toes’ ink that left fans in disbelief was all a hoax.
Fans were left in disbelief when LaMelo Ball’s tattoo artist uploaded a photo of his brand new “hot chee toes” tattoo. Luckily, it was all a hoax.
The photo, posted Saturday, July 26, showed a foot with flames crawling up the toes, colored in red and orange. The tattoo artist, Elvis Ramos (@iamelvistattoo) uploaded the photo to his Story and wrote, “Gave @Melo the Hot Chee Toes.”
The photo quickly began circulating the internet and many people had strong opinions to share. One user wrote under the photo re-posted by World Star, “When he turns 30 i know he gone be pissed.”
Another user commented, “Bro.. this era different different 😂😂.”
One person simply wrote, “what the f***.”
The Charlotte Hornets point guard is familiar with his tattoos being in the spotlight. Last year, he went viral for his back piece that took five different artists to complete.
However, this time was different. People were genuinely concerned about the tattoo and couldn’t understand why he would have gotten it done in the first place. That’s where his tattoo artist stepped in to clear things up.
In an Instagram reel posted to Ball’s tattoo artist’s account, he admits that the whole thing was a joke that the internet fell for.
“So we did tattoo LaMelo [Ball], but those ‘hot chee toes’? Those are not on ‘Melo. We were just trolling,” Ramos said while laughing. He admitted that the tattoo he posted wasn’t even one he had done himself and that the original artist was based out of California.
Ramos added, “We did do a leg sleeve on ‘Melo. We will be posting that soon so keep an eye out for that.”
He ended with, “We were just trolling, man. The internet is crazy, bro.”
Most people were quite relieved that the tattoo wasn’t real, with several comments left underneath Ramos’ post with crying laughing face emojis. One user admitted, “Ngl you had my ahh first thing this morning.”
Ball is entering his sixth NBA season and was previously named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year in 2021.
