Deion Sanders to Host Tubi Talk Show 'We Got Time Today' With Rocsi Diaz
Coach Prime says he’s "stepping into the studio to have REAL conversations with people from ALL walks of life."
Deion Sanders has the time, not only today but for a series of days for the foreseeable future.
That’s a key takeaway from Tubi’s announcement on Tuesday that it would soon be premiering a new talk show hosted by Sanders and Rocsi Diaz. The show, titled We Got Time Today, is currently slated to run for 20 episodes, each an hour in length and rolling out on Tuesdays. Producing the latest Tubi Original is Jesse Collins Entertainment, the Emmy-winning name behind past specials like A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip-Hop and Def Comedy Jam 25, among numerous others.
At the core of the show’s format, per Coach Prime himself, is a focus on facilitating “REAL conversations with people from ALL walks of life.” These discussions will first start hitting the world in November, followed by weekly premieres of new episodes.
“This show is about tapping into the CULTURE,” Sanders said of the ambition behind his decision to partner with Diaz, whose extensive list of credits includes 106 & Park and GMA3: What You Need to Know. “We’re going to LAUGH, DEBATE, INSPIRE and most importantly, we got time to TALK LIFE into our viewers while keeping things 100. I couldn’t do this with anyone else except for THE Rocsi Diaz, who I’m sure will keep me on my toes, and of course my friends over at Tubi, who I’ve been a BIG fan of for a long time now.”
Diaz, meanwhile, shared her own excitement about what lies ahead with her and Sanders’ co-hosting debut. Integral to the show’s appeal, she noted, is that she and Sanders both “definitely have unique POVs” that can be put to excellent use for Tubi viewers’ benefit.
“I can’t wait to explore everything and have real, authentic conversations that the culture is missing, from fun to serious and like Deion said, you can count on us to keep it 100,” Diaz, who also currently hosts the More to the Story podcast, said.
We Got Time Today is a big get for Tubi, a free streaming platform that has proven to be a real competitor against traditional paid services and fellow FAST channels alike. In May, Tubi bagged its biggest month of viewership yet, notably besting major names like Disney+ and Max.
