A baby known as “New Bawlins” became the champ of the New Orleans Pelicans Baby Crawl Race.

The competition, which featured 20 contestants between nine and eleven months old, featured a complete tour-de-force by New Bawlins who left all of the other babies in the dust.

From the moment the race started, while practically every other baby sat at the starting point admiring their parents or staring around in awe, Bawlins set off with a champion’s mindset. Bawlins tiny widdle legs pumped faster than an engine in a 2026 Ford Mustang to carry him across the finish line before his competition could even consider joining the race.

New Bawlins didn’t just win the competition — he practically inspired the New Orleans Pelicans to win a game against the Spurs that they were losing before the contest at halftime. In the final 14:12 minutes of the game, the Pelicans outscored the Spurs 51-22 to ultimately win 114-96.

For their win, New Bawlins took home a wagon, scooter, and mini-hoop basketball set — but with that kind of all-star athletic performance, they should have received a ten-day contract and the chance to show what they can do during an actual NBA game.

New Bawlins beat out some similarly amazingly named competition such as Beignet Baller, Fast and Formula, King of the Court, Lil Easy, and Miss Nugget.

In lieu of a tear-jerking acceptance speech, New Bawlins simply looked around at the crowd while wondering what happened. Not only was it moving, but also extremely inspirational.
