Conor McGregor Says Logan Paul Fight Isn't Happening: 'The UFC Just Aren’t Into It'

UFC CEO Dana White also shot the idea down recently.

Conor McGregor has confirmed that he won’t be fighting Logan Paul.

In a recent interview with The Schmo, the MMO star revealed that the reason it isn’t happening is because the UFC isn't too hot on the idea — which aligns with the fact that UFC CEO Dana White recently shot the idea down himself.

“The UFC just aren’t into it,” said McGregor. “The offer was there on the table, in writing, both athletes, we’ll say—he’s not a fighter—but whatever, both athletes under the TKO banner. UFC, WWE, both rising up. The stock price of TKO Holding Group through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming.”

“It was business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen, or should I say, the glorified spar happen,” McGregor continued. “In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC weren’t into it. I’m not sure the WWE what their interest in it was, I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”

In a recent vlog from Paul earlier this month, he shared a snippet of what sounded like a phone call with McGregor where the latter seemed confident that the supposed $250 million fight would happen. “This can happen, my man,” McGregor is allegedly heard saying. “For real. This can and will happen.”

Back in December, McGregor posted on X that he had agreed to go toe-to-toe with Paul. “The rumors of a bout with Topurio are false,” he posted, referring to reports that was set to fight featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.

“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India,” McGregor continued. “I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

Last September, McGregor declared himself to be the “only logical choice” to be the president of Ireland. He then teased his potential political run and laid out his plans for (hopefully) becoming president.

“I would have all the answers the people of Ireland seek from these thieves of the working man, these disrupters of the family unit, these destructors of small businesses, and on and on and on!” he wrote. “These charlatans in their positions of power would be summoned to answer to the people of Ireland and I would have it done by day end. Or I would be left with no choice but to dissolve the Dáil entirely. Stop the train until.”

“The people of Ireland deserve the answers they seek. Point blank,” McGregor continued. “This would be my power as President. I know very well. Ireland needs an active President employed wholly by the people of Ireland. It is me. I am the only logical choice. 2025 is upcoming…”
